Action for Community Health Development Foundation –Ghana (ACHDEF), a non-profit making Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with the aim of creating awareness on people’s health in rural communities has been inaugurated at Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana.
At the inaugural ceremony, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ACHDEF-Ghana, Mr. Braimah Salifu Andrew explained that, the major health challenge facing people in rural communities is health information. “And that is what ACHDEF seeks to address” he added.
Touching on its motto: “Positive Action, Good Health” The CEO, said that, it is the aim of ACHDEF-Ghana to bring quality health and information to the door step of rural folks to help them take positive actions towards achieving good health.
In this regard, Mr. Salifu Andrew added that, ACHDEF will sensitize and educate people on topical health issues and also conduct free health screening to let people know their health status.
He stressed that, achieving quality health is a shared responsibility that must be borne by all to achieve the goal of quality health care.
