Speaking in an exclusive inrterview with Adomonline.com’s Dorcas Abedu-Kennedy, the actress said her 93 year-old mother, Abena Asiamah whose sudden demise occured at the Mampong General Hospital was an inspiration to her.
“My mother was such a great advisor to me and so I feel empty losing her because I will not get anyone to advise me as my mum did. It is so unfortunate”. she said amidst tears
Rose Mensah said she had to take a break from acting for a while in order to concentrate on her deceased mother by giving her a befitting burial.
Narrating how she felt when her mother passed away, she said “One day when I visited my mother at our hometown she softly asked me not to expect her the next time I return but I didn’t pay attention to it and just a week later I heard that my mother had passed on. In fact, it was really painful and I told myself that only God can intervene”.
“My mother has really made me popular and I am happy about that; I wish she were still alive” she bemoaned.
Kyeiwaa called on all sympathizers to support her in these trying times.
“I need the support and prayers from my fans because they have also made me who I am today” she added.
Final funeral rites for the late Abena Asiamah will come off at the end of November at Nsuta-Kwaman Deduako in the Ashanti Region.
