Malaria cases are prevalent at the Out Patient Department (O.P.D) of the Brong Ahafo regional hospital in Sunyani by 34 percent.
The percentage level according to Dr. Kofi Amo-Kodieh, the Deputy Director of Clinical Care at the Brong Ahafo Regional hospital has reduced from about 50 percent in the recent times to 34 percent.
He said this in an exclusive interview conducted to *Peace News reporter Nana Asempa ASA* in sunyani.
Malaria is followed upper respiratory truck infections (disease which affects throat, nose).
Surprisingly, he said HIV is not part of the top ten diseases in the region.
He expressed concern of high number of hypertension and diabetics cases which is gaining root in the top ten diseases in the region.
