France based gospel artiste Patricia Agyeman has launched a scathing attack on Ghanaian gospel musicians stating that those claiming to be top gospel artiste should rent a 5star hotel when on European tours and stop sleeping in our halls and kitchens.
With what I have experienced, you will heartedly help a top musicians in terms of accommodation, food, and sometimes even clothes to sell their CD’S and programmes with the intentions of helping us back in terms of our music career, but they never responds to our calls when they get back to Ghana.
Speaking with Fada on Space fm’s entertainment show dubbed ‘Space Estacy’ in Sunyani she stated that some even goes further to squander all the food stuffs in the kitchen.
She continues saying “Some of the gospel artiste charges huge sums of monies from us with the idea of collaborating with us, and even with that their terms and conditions are outrageous”.
“ Some even agree to help us in promoting our songs and even the launching of albums as well but in the end don’t fulfill their promise and don’t return our monies back to us” she added.
I dare anyone to come out and say am lying and their names will follow, personally my intentions are now clear not to help a single artiste with accommodation any more.
“The backbiting in the gospel music industry is really becoming the order of the day, let’s all help and preach the gospel to others through our music and it must reflect in our everyday lives, if you can’t do this simple job then you are not qualified to be called a gospel artist” she ended.
